about

It's uptempo, not sure how crumpl or 'party' it is, unless your party is 'Highland Clearances Wake' (you think I joke?). I suspect no-one will like it, but had to be done though.

This is a tribute to Martyn Bennett and Sorley Maclean. I am a big fan of his poem 'Hallaig' which Martyn sampled the English version for the track of the same name. I have been near Raasay on Skye, not to Raasay itself. Also from my Highlands trips I heard Piobaireachd even though I cannot pronounce it, it's solo bagpipe music, less cheery, more mournful, more like drone rock? Usually for laments, but it eternally vamps for ever....it's very meditative.

Every artist is AFAIK Scottish, including the backing.
